Transfer : Arsenal Signs Gabriel Paulista from Villarreal

The Brazilian 24-year-old defender Gabriel Paulista on Wednesday signed for Arsene Wenger side Arsenal in a deal reported to be around 15m euros (£11.2m) from Villarreal with their Costa-Rica striker Joel Campbell, going the other way on loan until summer.

The defender who has never played for his native country 'Brazil' before admitted that joining a team in the English Premier League is a dream come true for him to play in Europe. He also laid emphasis on him coming from a club not that big in Brazilian League, I quote "I came from a club that is not that big in Brazilian football (Esporte Clube)", he said.

That was why  "I went to Spain to play Spanish Football with Villarreal and that was another dream comes true, to play in Europe".

He also said: "I had talks with my family and i told them that it was a dream to play in the Premier League.

"I am here at this club "Arsenal" to help the team, and my team mate, so the fans can expect a Gabriel that on the field has a lot of will to be able to help the team win important things".

Taye Taiwo Joins Legia Warsaw On Trial

Nigerian Super Eagles defender Taye Taiwo has joined Polish league Champions Legia Warsaw on trials till the end of the season.

The 29-years-old has teamed up with the Polish league leaders on trials after falling out of place with his Turkish league.

Taye Taiwo has had a first training session with the Legion. The left footed defender appeared in the gym on the morning of activation," Legia wrote on their website.

The 'Tornado' as he is fondly called is line to face wither Karabakh Agdam or Zenit St.Petersburg in the two friendly games billed for the Legions on Tuesday.

Legia currently sit on top of the Polish league with 38 points in 19 games and take on Jagiellonia Bialystok in their next game.

He has been handed jersey no 31 had stints with Olympique Marseille, Ac Milan, Queens Park Rangers, Dinamo Kiev and Bursaspor. 

Flying Eagles defeated Wari Wolves in the Super six Competition to make it three wins in three matches

The Flying eagles of Nigeria has continue their impressive form this afternoon after they defeated Warri Wolves of Nigeria Professional League in the Super Six tournament going on in the Abuja National Stadium.

The Manu Garba led team have been impressive so far, as every team that crossed their path suffered a defeat. In the just concluded match between  them and Warri Wolves ended 1-0 in favor of the Flying eagles. This now make it 3 game played and all 3 won.

Luis Figo to Challenge for FIFA President with Sepp Blatter and the Rest

Portugal Legend Luis Figo has announced that he ready and intends to challenge Incumbent FIFA president Sepp Blatter in the forth coming FIFA president elections.

Figo twitted today to say this and i quote:
''I am delighted to announce my candidacy for the FIFA Presidency. Football has given me so much during my life & i want to give something back." @LuisFigo

 The 42- year-old is one of a number of candidates to have recently declared their interest in the role, which will be decided by a vote of the 209 Member FAs at the FIFA congress on May 29.

Report stated that Figo told CNN: ''I care about football, so what I'm seeing regarding the image of FIFA not only now but in the past years- i don't like it.

"If you search FIFA on the internet, you see the first word that word that comes out: 'scandal'. Not positive words. We have to change that first anf try to improve the image of FIFA. Football deserves much better thank this.

''I have been talking with so many important people in football, players, managers, president of federations and they all think that something has to be done.

"Last year was the World Cup, i was in Brazil too and i saw the reaction of all the fans regarding the image of FIFA and i think something has to be change.

"Change in leadership, governance, transparecy and solidarity, so i think it's the moment for that.

Figo, who played at clubs like Barcelona, Real Madrid and Inter Milan during his career before retired. He also won Ballon d'or 2000 has well as in the year 2001.

The Former World footballer of the year would now have to faces challenge for the role with names like: Incumbent FIFA President Sepp Blatter, Jerome Champagne, Jordanian FA President Prince Ali- Hussein, Dutch FA chairman Michael van Praag, and former France international David Ginola In-contention. 

Eto'o Complete his Move to Sampadoria

The Cameroonian Legend Samuel Eto'o has finally sign his long awaited deal to Sampadoria.The striker took to his twitter account and announce his departure from Everton, this what he wrote on twitter below:
