Wolfsburg's Belgian midfielder Junior Malanda dies, aged 20

Belgium and Wolfsburg midfielder junior malanda has died in a car accident after the vehicle he was traveling in crashed near Porta Westfalica in Norther Germany, reported Bild.

The 20 year old was in the back of the VW Toureg and was killed instantly when the SUV lost control in bad weather, skidded of the road and crashed into a tree.

The driver and the other passenger were both seriously injured and have been taken to hospital, with the police reporting that the vehicle was traveling with excessive speed when it crashed.

Glo CAF Award: Asisat Oshoala Clinches two Award Youth and Woman Africa Player

The Super Falcons of Nigeria newly crowned African Women Player of the Year Asisat Oshoala has said her dream is to surpass her achievements in 2014 with the hope of becoming a better player in the future.

Oshoala beat compatriot Desire Oparanozie and Cameroonian goalkeeper Annette Ngo Ndom to the women's top prize as well as winning the African Youth Player of the Year.

She said the award meant a lot to her as she hopes to do more in 2015 and years to come.
"This award means a lot to me, to my career as I don't seek this as a stop for me," Oshoala told media.
"It's more like an assignment for me to be a more better player next year and always.

The former FC Robo star also said she is undecided over her future at Rivers Angels despite having several offers from Europe.

 "Talking about my move, if I will be leaving Rivers Angels for another club? Actually to be sincere, I have alot of clubs coming out for me, but i'm yet to decide where I want to go," she continued.

"No doubt about it, Nigeria league is a very good league. You can see player playing in our league and yet still come out as the best woman player in Africa.

"Talking about leaving Africa for now, I'm yet to decide because I have at home what I'm going out to find," she concluded.
                                       

                                          

Glo CAF Award: Yaya Toure Wins fourth African Player of the Year in a row

Toure 31, Ivory Coast and Manchester City of England Midfielder  has once again emerge the winner of the yearly CAF award African player in a row.

He was nominated after playing a vital role in the Premier League and League Cup last Season. The ivorian man also help his country in grabbing the ticket of 2015 African Cup of Nations.

 Toure 175 POINTS beat off the challenge of Gabon striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang 120 POINTS and Nigeria best player of the year goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama with 105 POINTS.

 The Midfielder who scored 20goals in City's tittle winning campaign and also netted the equalizer in the 3:1 Capital One Cup final victory over Sunderland at Wembley last March .

He has already kick start this new season in a higher fashion by scoring nine goals in 26 appearances for City in all competitions, including six goals in his last nine outings.

This great performance has made him been shortlisted for the 2014 Ballon D'or price in October.

The only African player to have win the price four times his Everton striker Samuel Eto'o but his own achievement was not in successive years.
