The defender who has never played for his native country 'Brazil' before admitted that joining a team in the English Premier League is a dream come true for him to play in Europe. He also laid emphasis on him coming from a club not that big in Brazilian League, I quote "I came from a club that is not that big in Brazilian football (Esporte Clube)", he said.

That was why  "I went to Spain to play Spanish Football with Villarreal and that was another dream comes true, to play in Europe".

He also said: "I had talks with my family and i told them that it was a dream to play in the Premier League.

"I am here at this club "Arsenal" to help the team, and my team mate, so the fans can expect a Gabriel that on the field has a lot of will to be able to help the team win important things".
