Ex Italian Football Legend, Giovanni Trapattoni Warns Balotelli Is Wasting His Career

Balotelli  24, joined Liverpool on Monday, August 25, 2014 from AC Milan in a €20 million return to the Premier League, after his exit from Manchester City in 2013.

The Italian  has striker failed to live up to his expectation in terms of goal scoring in his new club, just has he also failed to perform at San Siro, which necessitated his sudden transfer from Milan to Anfield.

Following recent poor runs of performances, Mario Balotelli, one of Italy’s football legend, Giovanni Trapattoni has warned fellow Italian that he might look back on his career and realize how much he has wasted his best times.

Since Balotelli’s arrival to Anfield, he has only scored twice; once in the Champions League and once in the Capital One Cup, a performance that lead many to question why Liverpool’s coach, Brendan Rodgers to give away Luis Suarez for Balotelli. According to The Trent

Legend Trapattoni, having trained countless world-class talents during his 40-year coaching career, believes that Balotelli will eventually regret his misdemeanour on and off the field.

Speaking with La Nazione on Thursday, December 11, 2014 he said Balotelli’s future is uncertain of any progressive expectations
“I do not know how Balotelli’s career will pan out in the future,” the former Juventus and Bayern Munich boss noted.
“But I know that when he hangs up his boots he will realise the many opportunities he has wasted.” He added.
Recall that Balotelli has missed the last six games for Liverpool due to an injury he sustained in November, 2014, while he was training with Italy’s national squad for the first time since Antonio Conte became the coach.
